Welcome to the improved Apostles Lutheran Church web site!  I’m glad you came to visit.  If you are looking for a church that teaches the Word of God, administers the Sacraments in truth and purity, which is warm, welcoming, and a church home where there is a sense of community and belonging; we are here to offer you these things!

I’m Mark Hanchett, a Licensed Deacon in the Pacific Southwest District of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod, who serves the ministry needs at Apostles Lutheran Church.  My family and I have been members at Apostles for over 10 years and we have been blessed to be part of God’s family and serve together in His Body, the church, here at Apostles!  

I invite you to get to know Apostles better!  I’m very happy to have this opportunity to tell you about our congregation of faith in the family of God.  As a family in God’s kingdom, we seek to be a family where we nurture in each other the new life given to us by Christ and where division and hurt are set aside.  Whether you are a newcomer to Peoria, Glendale, Surprise and western Phoenix area, or an old neighbor looking for a church home, we want to welcome you to our part of God’s family here.  Apostles Lutheran is a church that offers diversity in its ministry to provide everything needed to serve the Lord for His glory.

 

As Christians, the expression of our faith is lived out in our personal lives every day.  But as a people we are far from perfect, yet we in Christ and have found a perfect God who loves us and forgives us.  We are a forgiven people who love because Jesus first loved us.  We admit that we often fail to reach the high goals which we may set for ourselves, but God's word of forgiveness and encouragement motivate us to continue to serve Him and His people to the best of our ability.

I am honored to serve God and to carry out His ministry with the people of Apostles Lutheran Church.  Within the buildings of our facilities you will find a loving and caring community of forgiven and redeemer sinners.  I welcome you to explore the avenues that we offer for Christian service and fellowship.

 

Whether you are a member or a guest, I pray that our website will lead you to see clearly that we are a church dedicated to giving real hope to the hopeless, real help to the helpless and real peace and comfort to those who are restless.  We rely on God's power to accomplish this and we believe that his power is the Word, the Bible.  In Jesus, God gives us real hope, help, joy, peace and comfort.  Because God has given us these blessings, our congregation is dedicated to sharing this Good News with everyone else so that they too may enjoy these gifts of God!
